College Food

I just got home from the college tour trip, which was amazing in my opinion, but what shocked me a ton about the trip was the meals. Every day for three days we had all you can eat buffets on campus. The buffets offered every different type of food, and it was extremely good. However, extremely unhealthy. Pizza, fries, cake, and pasta was what was mainly served at every dining hall. I truly don't see how students eat there a lot. Some of my friends that go to the different colleges met us to eat, and they actually said they rarely eat there. However, I still feel like it is very unhealthy and I actually felt sick a couple of times after eating there, but that is probably because I took the "all you can eat" title literally. I also noticed how all the restaurants on campus are mainly fast food. What do you think about this?

I feel that College Campus' need to start serving healthier foods to all of the students. It is the College's need to realize that they may be bloating and making their students sick. I know that when I go to college I will try to eat healthier foods, rather than the buffet ones.

Although I haven't visited as many colleges as the college tour covered,
I did live up in Tallahassee with my brother for a few weeks and know first hand how almost everything available to eat is unhealthy in everyway. I do believe this is almost pathetic and the only way to truly obtain healthy food is the gorcery store. I dont think this is something that will change anytime soon because of peoples attachment to fast food but I can only hope that it will.
