The Florida vs. Oklahoma game was last night, it was a very big football game and there is one thing that usually comes as a package for big football events, tailgate parties! Tailgate parties often include a lot of drinking, beer especially. Alcohol as most people know can have very bad effects on the body. Some of these effects include memory loss, liver damage, brain damage, and even cancer. However, this has never stopped people from drinking and if they know how to drink responsibly then it shouldn't. Moderately drinking beer can reduce risks of high blood pressure and stroke, but moderate drinking usually isn't the case with tailgate parties. Another well-known effect of binge drinking is hang overs. A hang over occurs when the liver cannot cope with the excess alcohol and therefore the body becomes dehydrated. Hang overs have symptoms of lethargy, sickness, nausea, and memory loss. Regular hang overs cause liver damage which can be fatal. So, before ever attending a tailgate party think of the cons of the situation. You can still have fun without risking your life and/or health. Drink responsibly.
